Casper Bauhin

Casper Bauhin

(1560–1624)
Lived in Basilei as professor greek language and later anatomy and botany. In 1614 he was medicine professor and the first city doctor. Bauhin is one of the biggest botanics his era and he first used name for plants like today names before Linne (in Pinax theatri botanici).
